The modern Light Aeroplane - Shell Max and BP Publication.

18 page large format soft cover publication with folding over slips to illustrate the workings of light aircraft, published circa 1936.

SHELL OIL COMPANY - Shell-Mex and BP Ltd.

Folio, original printed paper covers, staple-bound as issued.

First edition of interesting publication which cleverly provides a detailed insight to the inner workings of 1930s light aircraft, with a series of illustrations with overslips that fold back to reveal cut-away views of the fuselage, component engine parts and safety devices.

Shell Corporation produced a number of pictorial “interiors” of various machines, designed to “reveal some of the complicated detail which too well conceals an underlying simplicity.”

Interior fine, colours still bright, covers now loose, some loose pages.

A rare item with appeal for aviation enthusiasts and oil ephemera collectors.

£44.00 including postage to U.K. zone 1 addresses.

For postage costs to addresses outside U.K. zone 1 and overseas postage please enquire prior to placing your order thank you.
