Sold for decorative display purposes, WW1 Lamont of Paris brass/bronze binoculars used aboard HMS Valiant, one of five Queen Elizabeth-class battleships built for the Royal Navy during the early 1910s. She participated in the Battle of Jutland during the First World War as part of the Grand Fleet. Binoculars have Black livery with rugged grip pattern to main body.

These personal items are very evocative and thought provoking giving us a sense of connection with the past and the people we owe so much to.

If the buyer wishes to regularly use the glasses for their intended purpose they might require specialist cleaning and service, although the optics are clean enough for occasional use. Signs of previous use and original patina through handling.
