The stuff of legends, ‘Hand Built in America’ - March 1996 GT Zaskar LE.
Adult size - 21’’ from top of seat post to centre of crank.
The GT Zaskar LE's reputation stems from its innovative Triple Triangle frame design, lightweight 6061 aluminum construction, and its ability to adapt to various riding conditions. The frame design contributed to a compliant ride, and the bike's overall build allowed it to be both durable and relatively light, making it a popular choice for both cross-country racing and trail riding
The Zaskar quickly established a positive reputation for cross-country racing success, with a distinct advantage that it could also handle trail riding thanks to its responsive handling and ability to absorb a variety of impacts.
GT's signature Triple Triangle design was a key feature of the Zaskar, resulting in a unique and forgiving riding experience. This design, with the lower triangle's stay being a second triangle, allowed for more vertical flexibility in the frame, absorbing impacts and improving comfort.
Pro and amateur riders through the decades describe the appeal of the Zaskar as ‘all bases covered’, they were clean, light, simple, fast and undoubtedly tough.
We have pleasure presenting a well cared for hardtail example for nostalgic rides and historic competition.
