This book is the result of a very ambitious seminar held at Filton in April 1997 to consider the history and lessons of the Tactical Strike Reconnaissance 2 (TSR2) project which dominated the military aviation scene of the mid 1950s and 60s. 
The RAF faced many aircraft and equipment project cancellations over the years but none caused as much anguish and high octane debate as the cancellation of TSR2. It was a devastating blow to not only the RAF but also the UK's aviation industry.
