A pair of Edwardian mahogany fireside chair / library chair / armchairs.

Consisting of horseshoe shaped upholstered back rest over pierced galleried supports over an upholstered seat covered in green velvet raised on turned legs to the front and oblong section legs to the rear.

One chair includes its original brass and china castors, the second chair is without castors. 

The velvet upholstery is in good condition throughout suggesting the chairs have been recently reupholstered. There are surface marks commensurate with age and usage, including some light wear to the finish on the frame.

A very stylish and elegant chair design.
