A pair of Art Deco sculpted wall plaques created for a 5 star luxury hotel. This stunning design is based on larger original works designed by Walter Gilbert in 1933 and manufactured by the Bromsgrove Guild for use above the elevator doors in the Derry & Tom's department store (later Biba). The panel depicts a highly stylised forest scene of gamboling deer, a popular subject in the late 20’s, early 30’s. These plaques are very substantial made from a resin stone like material including crushed Portland Stone with excellent relief detailing. This website listing is for left hand and right hand versions purchased as a pair and benefiting from consolidated postage savings. These panels are available for purchase separately, please refer to the individual LH and RH listing on our website. We have shown multiple combinations of the left and right hand versions together for illustration purposes only. These plaques can be displayed singularly or alternatively purchased in volume to create a stunning frieze. The panels do not include any fixing method.
