A fine example of the late Victorian/early Edwardian Rosewood side cabinet / display cabinet decorated with exquisite classical marquetry including Satinwood and Boxwood veneers and patterned and decorated classical features.

This item would have once included an elaborate back mirror which sadly was no longer present at the time of acquisition. This piece has incredible presence and would make a fine focal point to hallways, corridors or primary reception rooms.

This striking piece comprises as follows -

Serpentine shaped profile with two raised cupboards at either end with marquetry inlaid shaped profile doors with decorated frieze over and open shelf with raised gallery below, original brass door pulls,. Central display cabinet with arched bevelled glass glazed doors opening to original velvet lined shelves. The glazed doors include further marquetry details and a single drawer above with corresponding marquetry and original brass pull handles. The cabinet is raised on turned legs to the front and square legs to the rear.

This is a genuine antique and although it has been well cared for through the decades, like all furniture antiques it has a unique patina, small indents, marks scratches and loses through normal ageing and use. Please refer to photographs for condition.
