Two professionally framed antique prints by renowned and respected artist George Wright. Circa 1907 ‘Tending to the Cut’ and ‘English foxhounds at the hunt kennels.’

Nicely presented hand coloured antique aquatint prints of scenes depicting the care and grooming of English fox hounds. Framed under glass in ebony colour wooden frame with gilt glazing bead, each print mounted on embossed mount card (some light foxing to mount), solid plank panel back.

Wright who was born in 1860 and passed in 1942 exhibited a total of 33 paintings at the Royal Academy, he specialised in sporting subjects, horses, dogs, equestrian sports and capturing scenes of country life and pursuits.

Prints are highly prized for providing an accurate snapshot, a moment frozen in time, capturing the excitement, energy and drama of sporting events or the life and times of the people he captured.

This attractive pair of complimentary subject prints retain their original colours, cleaned and ready to hang.
