A very presentable example of the No. 4 Cartridge Kodak, antique folding film camera produced by the Eastman Kodak Company 1897.
Historically significant for using 5-inch wide No. 104 paper-backed roll film to capture large 4x5 inch exposures.
The camera has a commanding stance when open, the thick leather maroon bellows are in wonderful original condition and the nickel parts are still polished and bright. More importantly, the camera opens and closes as it should, movement is smooth. 
Construction: 
Wood (mahogany or similar hardwood case) covered in Morocco textured leather with attractive dark maroon leather bellows. Designed for daylight loading. 
Nickel platted front standard and bed, all operates smoothly as it should.
Bausch & Lomb Rapid Rectilinear lens (f/8) and an Eastman Triple Action pneumatic shutter.
Built-in dual brilliant reflecting finders for horizontal and vertical framing.
