A charming early 20thC puzzle made by Robert Journet of London.

Comprising of paper covered board, glass, printed playing field with indents and tiny ball bearings.

The object of the game is to get all the ball bearings into the indent holes by carefully balancing and manoeuvring the puzzle.

Robert Journet started a toy shop in 1878 in Paddington. His father hand-made the first puzzles in the early 1890's. The business took-off in 1918 when the Company attended a British Industries fair and volume export sales were made to the U.S.A. Robert passed away in the 1930's and his son Frederick took over the business and further expanded it.
