This particular model is a Corona No. 3 Folding Portable (often just called the Corona 3 or Corona Special), which is characterized by its unique ability to fold flat for portability. The carriage folds down over the keyboard in one simple manoeuvre.
It's a very distinctive and iconic design from the early 20th century, introduced around 1912 and remaining in production until 1941. Combining lightness and robustness, three rows of keys with number and letters. We have pleasure offering the special Gold Crackle black version which looks fabulous.
Such an incredible piece of design….. famously Lawrence Durrell uses a Corona Three in The Durrells in Corfu after he smashes his Corona Four!
