Art Deco sculpted wall plaque created for a 5 star luxury hotel. This stunning plaque is based on larger original works designed by Walter Gilbert in 1933 and manufactured by the Bromsgrove Guild for use above the elevator doors in the Derry & Tom's department store (later Biba). The panel depicts a highly stylised forest scene of gamboling deer, a popular subject in the late 20’s, early 30’s. This plaque is very substantial made from a resin stone like material including crushed Portland Stone with excellent relief detailing. We have both left hand and right hand versions available which are sold separately or as a pair. We have shown combinations of the left and right hand versions together for illustration purposes only. These plaques can be displayed singularly or alternatively purchased in volume to create a stunning frieze. The panels do not include any fixing method.
