Carrying forward time tested Victorian design elements and production methods this early Art Deco period inkwell brings a stylish contemporary twist to its timeless styling.
Enamel painted brass stand with ‘London Underground Red’ perimeter band and gloss black livery with polished brass edge and feet. Chamfered design creating a raised bed with integral pen rest and two raised polished brass retainers for the two removable crystal glass inkwells, each with hinged decorative lid with red band and chamfered edges to glass.
The inkwell has a timeless patina thanks to paint loss from use, nibbles and loses to gloss inkwells, wear marks and ink staining. A genuine previously much loved piece.
