Antique early 20thC Tambour style mantel clock with 8 day movement in ebonised finish case (now gently distressed and crackled).
This elegant large format mantle clock has all the ingredients of a quality antique piece ready to grace its new home.
Predominately made of wooden construction, raised domed central section containing the dial and movement, graceful swept transitions to wide, slender base. The clock is embellished with nicely detailed raised metal claw feet to each corner, brass lions mask mounts and brass finial to top.
The silvered dial has bold Arabic numerals, attractive pierced hands, outer minute track and brass bezel, two winding arbours to the inner dial.
The clock has a brass plate mechanicals with pendulum escapement and striking movement. The clock has been continuously tested over 10 days. Winder is present with the clock.
