Lovely example, 19thC William IV cerule-form, ‘X-frame’ stool.

The stool is offered in good condition, reupholstered ahead of sale in new William Morris fabric and feature contrast fringing.

The stool features stuffed top seat, four carved bullseye riser blocks, shaped X-frame carved with attractive scroll legs (with original forged steel ‘X’ strengthening plate to the reverse face of each leg frame), fine central turned stretcher.

This feature rich antique brings a taste of the ‘large country house’ to any interior space.
