Condition report
Whilst this is undoubtedly a gorgeous piece of Georgian furniture this is not a museum piece, this piece has been in regular service throughout its life and served its previous owners well.

Through regular use and polishing this piece has developed a unique aged patina including rub marks, scratches, indentations and losses. Losses include two sections of drawer edge beading, small veneer losses to front, repaired loose veneers to side of feet, loss of veneer to bottom edge of one foot and loss/repair of veneer to front corners of top. Historical ink stains to top. We have tried to outline as much detail as possible to help prospective buyers and provided numerous high resolution images to assist in understanding condition.

Whilst the condition report appears to be extensive, this piece is more than 200 years old, we highly recommend this item, it has a wonderful depth of colour, it’s Georgian proportions and quality finishing details such as its handles and the bureau interior are fabulous. This piece can offer its new owner years of faithful service whilst bringing a touch of Georgian style to its new home.
