Genuine vintage 1930’s Japanese Famous Sugar ice cream chiller with period baseball themed advertising to front.
Of rectangular metal form this floor standing chiller includes its original substantial mirrored vacuum glass vessel internal and cork lid with original pull. This would have been used by sellers of ice cream to keep wrapped ice cream products chilled prior to the introduction of electric versions.
It features a baseball player and an ice cream and the name Famous Sugar Ice Cream.
Baseball was introduced to Japan in 1872, the first professional game was played in 1936 modelled on the American league.
Size - 40 cm wide, 32cm deep, 73cm tall.
