This decorative trophy comprises of a rear rotor blade salvaged from a decommissioned Robinson R22 helicopter and set into a hand selected and hand finished oak base. The blade has been cleaned but still shows authentic signs of its life in use. A great talking point and stand out item perfect for lovers of aircraft, flight engineering and helicopters in particular. The R22 is a light, two-place, single reciprocating-engined helicopter with a semi-rigid two-bladed main rotor and a two-bladed tail rotor. Made by Robinson Helicopter Company it was designed in 1973 by Frank Robinson. Courtesy of its compact size it is possible to take off from and land directly onto a car trailer.
