A relatively rare find here in the U.K.

A collection of wedding day accessories worn as part of the traditional Geisha wedding Kimono.

Worn with hikifurisode (Kimono) the hakoseko (slim note book purse) is similar to a cosmetic bag and is used to carry makeup or other essential items such as a small mirror.

Suehiro - ceremonial folding fan customarily held by the bride. ‘Suehiro’ derives from the saying ‘may your happiness spread forth like a fan (suehirogari)’. Often colored in gold or silver.

Silvered hair pin and sleeve and two further pins in their own box.

Second purse with own box.

The fabric items appear to be fabricated in silk.

A wonderful collectors set, perfect for anyone interested in Japanese culture, wedding organisers, handbag collectors, Kimono collectors.

All vintage items in the photographs are included with the exception of the screen in the background. All items are clean and like new, nicely presented thanks to being kept in their original boxes (lid of fan box missing).

£49.00 including postage to U.K. zone 1 addresses.
