Vintage brass ships binnacle oil lamp including original oil burner. Marked G Bocock & Co Birmingham 1953 this model is identical to the versions used on vessels during WW2. No steel to be found anywhere in this lamp, it is entirely made of brass so that it would not upset the ships compass. The top is a machined casting, and fits snugly into a hole in the binnacle top, the lamp then illuminates the compass for night time sailing. Features a windowed door with sliding locking pin which hinges open to access the internal removable burner which is present. No damage, glass in-tact, machined cast bell top and wooden handle present.
