A vintage printed example of a short lived RAF Ensign used for the 1918 Armistice Celebrations. Featuring Union Jack canton, an eagle looking to the left and a crown and the blue St Michaels cross. This design was used during a period when the RAF were exploring various alternative flag design options, this transition design period lead into the 1920’s. The RAF ultimately transitioned to the incorporation of roundels. This particular printed example is slightly faded and there is some colour bleed. This format of flag was typically used for display including Air Cadet squadrons and public events. This particular flag was sourced from a flag collector who served in the RAF.
