The Avro Vulcan Bomber with its iconic Delta wing design was a key asset in Britain’s Nuclear Deterrent Force. Throughout the Cold War period the Vulcan was the primary strategic response aircraft. It saw long range active service in the Falklands Conflict in 1982, the only time it dropped bombs in anger, succeeding in direct hits on Port Stanley Airport runway. Our feature lamp incorporates a Vulcan Bomber Coupling Unit which was part of the bomb targeting system. The Coupling Unit has been left in tact within and is presented as it was found, the paint loss and aged patina are genuine. MOD /War Department markings and labels are still present along with original dials and glass. We have sympathetically added a vintage style bulb holder and power lead with dimmer/on off switch. This unique feature lamp will be supplied with an Edison style bulb. £185.00 + £9.00 postage to U.K. zone 1 addresses. For postage costs to addresses outside U.K. zone 1 and overseas postage please enquire prior to placing your order thank you.
