The Handley Page Hastings was a British troop-carrier and freight transport aircraft designed and built by Handley Page Aircraft Company for the Royal Air Force. At the time, it was the largest transport plane ever designed for the RAF, and it replaced the Avro York as the standard long-range transport.

Operational duties-
October 1948 to September 1949 - No. 47 Squadron. Also flown by aircrew from 53 and 297 Squadrons during this time. 18 July 1949 - No. 24 Squadron at RAF Topcliffe. Berlin airlift sorties.

Rise and fall height adjust mechanism, arm rests, height adjustable headrests all working. Telecoms connectors still in place, all seat foams and covers present.
